What is "Dimension Legal Entity Context field" and "Dynamic Dimension Enumeration Field" of Entity in D365FO?

Hi Experts,

I am facing a problem that have never seen errors in D365FO vhd as below,

Error message is as below,

Path: [AxDataEntityView/MiwaDepositEntity/Fields/LedgerDimension/DimensionLegalEntityContextField]:The 'Dimension Legal Entity Context field' must be entered, when the extended data type is 'DimensionDynamicAccount' or 'DimensionDynamicDefaultAccount'.

Path: [AxDataEntityView/MiwaDepositEntity/Fields/LedgerDimension/DynamicDimensionEnumerationField]:The 'Dynamic Dimension Enumeration Field' must be entered, when the extended data type is 'DimensionDynamicAccount' or 'DimensionDynamicDefaultAccount'.

Firstly, I would like to know why it needs above properties relevant Dimension. Would you please let me know the explanation of 2 fields and how to use them ASAP?

Hi Mitsugo,

In the entity, a connection must be created between the dimension field with the RecId and the associated account type. This is done using the two properties Dimension Legal Entity Context Field and Dynamic Dimension Enumeration Field of the dimension field.

You should set default dimension field on your entity.
