Outsourcing MO\PO link

We have an issue when we go to close a MO that is an outsource component linked to a PO we get an error

"An outsourcing Purchase order line is linked to the manufacturing order.  The purchase order line is not closed or received.  You cannot close this MO until the linked purchase order line is closed or received."

We have multiple outsourced lines on the PO linked to multiple MOs...and the line linked to the MO is received and closed...yet we are still unable to close the MO??

Is this a bug?

    Tami,

    It is often a good idea when you see one thing in your data, but experience contrary behavior to run Check Links on your tables - in this case Purchasing Series.

    Barring Check Links fixing the issue, it sounds as if the behavior you are reporting is a bug.  You would be well served to log a support request with Microsoft.

    Are any of the lines you are having problems with over/under received within your configured tolerances, prior to close?

    Yes ..when I looked closer at the problem...these are under\over shipments...which happens with the product..I am unsure how to handle outsourced over\under shipments...and there appears to be minimal documentation on this??

    Tami, there is a hotfix available for this that worked for me.  It updates a SQL stored procedure.  I can't find the kb article right now, but if you keep searching you'll find it.  I deployed it last week.  I'll keep searching and post the link if I find it...
