Management Reporter Configuraion Console Freezing

Hi,
Yesterday I installed MR 2012 for a client on WIN 2008 server 64-bit.  It was a new install and I didn't have any problems (other than the documentation stinks!!!).  Today, I am installing MR 2012 for another client.  Exact same enviroment.  When I finish the Server Install process and move to the Configuration Console for the setups it freezes up.  I've tried using the repair option from setup, but that didn't resolve it.  I'll probably re-install completely, but I have a hunch that won't fix it.  This is where it freezes:  Select GP from first screen - click next, brings up the Prerequisite Validation window up the screen that shows nothing needs to be installed (I thought it was strange that this came up with no info.  Then I click next to the Configure Management Reporter screen, then it fades and freezes.

Anyone experience this? Any suggestions?  Oh, I also turned off the User Account Control in Windows.

Thanks in advance!

Jim

In the features setting of the .Net Framework in win08 server x64, verify you have enabled "WCF HTTP Activation", I found this by installing a prior (CU8) management reporter service pack and it gave me a message saying it was missing.

    Hi Rachel,

Yes, we were able to resolve this issue.  You need to log into the server with a network account that has local admin privileges.  That sould resolve the freeze-up problem.

    Good luck!

The same thing is happening to me when installing on my laptop.  I have posted to the forum as well and am waiting for an answer.  Did you ever figure it out?
