Hi,

I am trying to create a new Item in the UI. In order to reproduce this issue I would do the following:

1) On business central home page I click "Items"

2) Looking at the list of Items I click the "+ New".

This should open up a new page to create a new item, however I instead get a prompt that shows this error.

Opening up the prompt I also get the information:

Not sure if this will help anyone as systems are different, but I corrected this error by checking another item and populating the Item Tracking Code and Lot Nos with the same info

I checked my item templates and there were none that existed. By your suggestion I created one. After doing that it now works. Thank you

Hi, this is very strange, it looks like an error when you enter Lot Nos or Serial Nos when the Item Tracking Code is empty.

    For example,

I also check the Item Template, it also doesn't allow you to enter only Lot Nos or Serial Nos . So this error should not occur with standard features.

Please check your Item Template settings and delete Lot Nos and Serial Nos first (This may be a problem caused by the Configuration Package importing data without Validate.).  If other extensions are already installed, please uninstall and try again.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

This is a strange issue. I tried to replicate it but had no success.

    1) Do you have any customization or add-on ? In Page Inspection do you see any add-on?

    2) Can you go to No Series then find Item, then select Default No.s if already selected go to step 3.  Also, here when you selected No Series click Manage then Relationship. Do you see anything there?

    3) search for Item Template then see if you have more than one template. if yes then all is good. if no create new one.

    4) Now go to Item List and click New. it should show you list of template. Select new one. Does it work?
