Adding field to customer search window

I am looking for a way to add a field to the customer search window. More specifically i use some of the custom text and number fields within the customer properties and they show up in "look for" fields selection area but I am not finding a way for those fields to be displayed in the search window.

Has this been developed yet?

Thanks,

Not sure if this is accurate or not you'll need to check your settings. Are you referring by chance to the option is Store Operations Manager under the FILE and Configuration to ALWAYS SHOW THE FIND WINDOW there is a checkmark in the CUSTOMER OPTIONS FOLDER to always display. That should be checked.

I believe that may be the one you are referring to?

Sure hope that is the one and helps you.

    Thanks Freeman!

This isn't quite what I was looking for. I was trying to add a field or column in the customer window at the top where you see (Account Number) (Last Name) (First Name) (Company) (City) etc....

I am using some of the custom text fields in the customer properties window under the additional tab. I would like to have one or more of those fields show up in the customer window. I did notice you can search using the information in those fields but they do not display in the customer window.

Thank you for any additional help you can provide.

That would be complete custom programming, to have a different window or popup for the Customer search. I would guess there is an add-on for that, since there is for almost everything else.

One option might be to copy or use SQL to insert the info you put in those optional fields into the Customer Notes field. It wouldn't necessarily be organized in that box, but it's unlimited and you would be able to search it.
