Hiding fields on custom Activity

Posted on by 15

Hello,

I am new to CRM Dynamics 365 and need some assistance related to Activities within Cases.
I created a custom Activity for Team A who needs to keep the Activity info as confidential as possible.
So I created a new Description field and added field security to it so only Team A can view it. I was not able to enable Field Security on the baseline Description field. Does anyone know why? I also hid the baseline Description field from the form.

Now, I want to hide the Subject field the way I did for the description field. I was somewhat successful, the Subject was hidden from the custom Activity form however, the Activity views still displays the Subject. Does anyone have any ideas on how to hide this info or other suggestions? Thank You!!

You can modify you Activity Associated View from "Customization Center": Settings->Customizations->Customize the System

And go to view editor: Activity entity->Views->View: All Activity Associated View

Click subject field and than click remove button on the right panel of view editor
