Customer Specific Forecast Demand is NOT consumed by the Sales Order

To start, we are using Forecasted demand without specifying the Customer Account and this works perfectly.  The Demand is reduced by the sales order and life is grand.  Where the problem lies is if I take the same item and assign a customer account to the forecast, then when I create a sales order for that specific customer, the demand forecast does NOT reduce.  Is there  a setting on the customer or in Master planning to make this work?  It doesn't make sense to me that forecast consumption is working, but when you use the exact same data and just apply a customer account, this functionality stops working.  Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Found my issue.  The Customer account was specified but the Customer group needed to be specified as well on the Demand forecast.  Now all is well again.

We are having a similar problem, but opposite - forecast consumption was working fine for about a year and now it is not consuming sales orders. When we remove the customer account number from the demand forecast, forecast consumption is working fine. Any thoughts on what is going on?

Is it possible that you have the same issue I was having?  Try adding the customer account number and customer group.

We have both the customer number and the customer group and it is not consuming forecast. When i remove the customer account and leave the customer group in tact, it then sometimes works and sometimes we need to remove both the customer account and customer group for it to work and consume sales orders lines.

It's the same problem we have: forecast with neither customer nor customer group works great. When we modify the forecast specifing the customer (so customer group is inherited automatically), this forecast is not consumed. Actually sometimes it seems not considered at all.

It's worth it to say that we have current coverage group with "Include customer forecast in the overall forecast" so I expect master planning sums together forecast records with/without customer.

De-selecting "Include customer forecast in the overall forecast", forecast consumption seems correct, that is:

    - customer forecast is consumed by sales order for that customer.

    - general forecast is consumed by sales order of other customers.

I did not find any fix on this topic, we are considering to open a Microsoft incident.
