    All good so.

Best might be to create staging tables...one for GL Transactions, one for GL Accounts. The source system populates these as and when new transactions are generated / new GL accounts are added. Create an eConnect integration to draw from this table, and write back an integrated flag if successful.

    Hi,

Does your skill set included using an API like eConnect? Are you a developer / programmer? What level of technical ability do you have?

What are you integrating? GL Journal Entries, GL Accounts etc.

What format can the source data be supplied in? Is it a SQL table / .csv file etc.

How often will you be running the integration? Or is it a once off?

Do you have a mapping / way to determine the GP GL account codes?

Do you have technical ability with the other database? i.e. can you automate the production of the source data? Is it permissible to write back to the source database? Is the source data on the same server / SQL instance? (Is it another Dynamics GP company database?).

These are just a few of the questions you would need to explore before embarking on an eConnect project. In short, yes eConnect is an ideal tool for integrating data into GP GL, but without knowing your exact requirements / set up its hard to advise.

    Ian.
