Retail statement posting error

Hi All,

When we try to post some open statements that have failed. We are getting below error:

Message (10:27:57)

The ledger account combination 93120-D01-035 is not valid. The ledger account combination does not match the journal control setup for the ledger account posting types.

Error found when validating record.


We too reviewed the account structures and this looks to be fine.

Any advice on how to resolve this issue?

    Hi Charla,

    Possibly this is a posting related to the payment part? Check if you have setup journal control for the retail payment journal name. Also check if the main account or dimension values do have effective dates or is suspended.

    Hi Andre,

    Thanks for your response. I do not think this error us leading correctly. I have checked journals, account structures financial dimension all settings are correct.

    We have, almost, this failure on daily basis for different stores when the batch job runs in the evening.

    Hello Charla,

    Further above it is stated that the journal controls are responsible for the issue.

    Have you tried - e.g. in a demo or test system - removing those journal controls?

    If you remove them does the error show up again?

    Hello Ludwig,

    Thanks for the advice, however, we do not have any journal controls for that particular journal.

    Also, some statements are posting, some not for particular store, I think that it may be retail data related.

    Otherwise, I would expect that none of the statements would post. What are your thoughts on this?

    Hi Charla,

    Do you have some more information about the purpose of this ledger account? Without description it is not clear where it is used in the posting. Do you possibly have an unintended empty record in the journal control?
