Adding/moving line in Report Writer

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

I am trying to modify the Pick Ticket in Report Writer.  Lines are not behaving correctly and I cannot figure out why.  They are extending farther than they should: they are missing: they are moved when I have not touched them and they will not print when they are there.

Also, how how I get rid the the astericks in front of the item number?

    Mary,

If you could post a screenshot of the report, it might help diagnose the problems you're indicating. To do so, you will need to "Use rich formatting" located in the lower left corner of the response box. Then you can insert an image. Images have to be fairly small so you may want to cut and paste a few.

    Hi,

Are you talking about vertical lines or horizontal lines? On the asterisk issue, you would need to change the item number field. Instead of the calculated field 'Display Item Number', use the 'Item Number' field from the Sales Transaction Amounts Work table.

The vertical lines can be tricky. Each of the lines are actually two lines. I haven't got an absolute formula, because I have struggled with them myself. I make the lines exactly the same length and in the same position as the original lines, and it works for me. I have never had them change if I truly never touched them. The other thing I do is that I send them to back in Report Writer.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
