Email From getting associated with contact in different business unit

I have 2 business units: Unit A and Unit B

Unit A has all customers for their segment

Unit B has all customers for their segment

Some contacts have the same email in Unit A and Unit B

When a new email comes in, CRM is associating the email with contact from Unit A instead of Unit B

Is there a way to force mailboxes to only read from contacts within their business units?
