Does updating .NET Framework affect remote repository?

Hello,

I cloned a remote repository on Visual Studio, and this message is shown when I try to undo changes to my local files:

If I update the target to .NET Framework 4.8 (Recommended), does it only affect my local repository? Or will it affect the remote repository?

I don't want to edit anything on the remote repository. Could you please suggest the best option here?

I have the same question (0)

Only your local system is affected until you push local changes to a remote repo.
