Azure Active Directory Account sign in trouble

Posted on by 7

My company is using Microsoft 365 Business Premium and I am having trouble signing into the remote assist app.

I get an error at the "Let's Get Set Up" screen that says:

"Azure Active Directory account

We had trouble signing you in.

Make sure you have a valid work or school account."

I definitely have a work account that is using Azure AD.  When I go to the settings page of the Hololens it shows that I am connected to my organization's AD.

Any ideas?

Happened to us too. A device reset (press and hold the power button for 10 -15 secs, then short-press the power button after a few seconds) was the only thing that helped in our case.

It seems that there was something on the server side that needed to update.  After about 3-4 hours from writing the original post, it just started working.

    Hello,

If you’re having trouble signing in to Remote Assist, try the following:

    • Make sure you’re using a work or school account, not a Microsoft account (MSA), to sign in to HoloLens.

    • Make sure that the work or school account you’re using has a valid Office 365 Business Premium or Essentials subscription with Microsoft Teams enabled.

    • Make sure your HoloLens is connected to the internet.

    • Check with your administrator to make sure your device and network are set up to work with Remote Assist.
