How to remove (forget) all entries for all data in a fiscal year and start new year

Wondering if there were a way to remove all entries for all data in a fiscal year.  Our accounting departement upgraded to Dynamics 2015 last year and started to enter data for our FY16 (June - May) and were going to dual enter with an other system.  That didn't last too long and now they want to start fresh this year (back entering June's and July's) data but want to start at FY17 and totally forget about FY16. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Hi SoftTechAdmin

    You don't mention which functionality you have implemented so I will be fairly generic here.

    If you look at the Utilities section for each series (Financial, Sales, Purchasing etc.) there are remove history functions.

    You can use these to remove the previous transactions.  

    Be sure to remove both transaction and distribution history.

    Note that for Sales you will have to remove history for both Receivables and SOP.

    In Purchasing you will need to remove both Payables and Purchase Orders.

    Before starting this process make sure that you have a good backup of your databases.
