Any engineering firms out there using Dynamics SL?

We are a small engineering firm (roughly 80 employees) and we recently converted to Microsoft Dynamics SL. I am trying to find other companies in engineering or other professional services that are currently using Dynamics who might be willing to talk with us discuss some issues we are having and if these are common and if so how they have been addressed in other cases. One example is billing fixed fee and cost plus to maximum jobs. We are also not able to get project budget reports the way we are accustomed to seeing them. Any help or feedback is appreciated!

    Microsoft Dynamics SL is an excellent fit for Professional Services companies such as engineering.  SL has a very strong set of project accounting modules that should be able to handle your fixed fee and cost plus projects.  SL utilizes Crystal report which can be modified for project budget reports.  You can also view project status info through Business Portal (the web access to SL project data).  We have a very strong Dynamics SL consulting team with extensive experience working with project centric companies.  Please feel free to email at nelly.abdelmessih@mcGladrey.com should you need assistance with the issues that you're currently experiencing.

    Abbey:  We are a multi-disciplined engineering firm on the East Coast.  We have 700+ employees and use SL (since 2006).  We would love to discuss your issues.  The issues you have are SIMILIAR issues we have always had (although we have found workarounds).  Maybe together we can come up with a better solution.  It is nice to have someone in the same boat.  (Misery loves company).  My email is dsimon@jmt.com.  Dave Simon 410-316-2426
