Converting string to int64 in Dynamics Connector

Hi everyone.

I am trying to map a string from CRM to an int64 from AX in the Connector for Dynamics. The only function I came across was:
=ConvertToInt, but that is only for int32.

So how do I convert a string into a int64 in the Connector?

which programming language you are using?

if that is C#, did you tried Convert.ToInt64

if its x++, have you tried str2int64

if its some other programming language, possibly this is not right forum to get an answer

I do not know which language the Connctor for Dynamics uses. They have a set of predefined functions. You can't use regular code from C# or X++

Hi John. str2int64 is X++ code which I cannot use in Connector for Dynamics. They have their own set of predefined functions and I do not think we can make our own functions.

To convert a string to int64 you need to use following function:

=GetRecordIdFromString()
