Shortcut dimension 3 code field

Hi All,

I have set up the 'shortcut dimension 3' as an Employee in the General ledger Setup. I am facing something weird.

when I tried to add the field using the AL code it will populate only the field as text. but the same field I tried to add using Design or personalize will populate as expected with the drop-down of employee master. you can see the below screen prints for the same:

I need to do using AL code, can anyone give me the solution? what I have missing here?

Hi All,

I have solved this problem by copying field from General Journal page.

But One More Query is: why are the highlighted lines we should keep at the last statement in the code? please see the below screen print.

When I set this lines at the last statement then it will work as expected otherwise not.

But what is the reason?
