Dynamics AX for Garment manufacturing companies

Hi,

Could you please advise if there is any Garment Manufacturing Company, who has Implemented Dynamix Ax 2012 successfully!!!

When it come to Garment Manufacturing, one particular garment have more than fifty bill of materials. Also, it has more than 200 Product variants.

I.e,  Product X is a Bra. It has  40 Sizes with 05 different colors (200 product variants) and each variants has its own work order.

Advise is it possible to handle above complexity in Dynamix AX.

    Is it possible to handle above complexity in standard AX (with having out any additional software's) please advise.

    I think practically it must be very difficult to handle above due to the number of product variants and Bill of materials.

    Hi Darshank,

    From what you write above, I cannot see any major gaps that cannot be handled in the standard application.

    Yet, I know that there are some specialized software solutions for garment factories available that have a lot of industry specific add-on features available that make the handling of business processes easier.

    For that reason, it might be wise getting into contact with a partner that has implemented similar projects before.

    Just calling them and asking for some demos/presentations usually does not cost any money and might help you in your decision making.

    The number of BOMs and variants you mention is not large for a product like Ax.

    You have copy bom feature, measurement bom feature, product configurator etc.

    It does not sound scary.
