Several of our customers are experiencing an issue with the Export to Excel Online option when using the new Unified Interface. After exporting to Excel Online, making minor changes to text fields and then saving the changes back to D365, the changes never get applied despite a "Successful" import. When attempting the same changes in the "old" interface the changes are applied as expected. I've read older posts discussing issues with Export to Excel Online but I can't believe such an important feature would have a bug for so long. What am I missing?
Hi gtwynstra,
If I remember correctly, this issue was resolved for our instance shortly after my initial post a couple of years back. If you're running into the same issue, I'd submit a trouble ticket, as it's been working as expected for a couple of years now on our system.
Best of luck.

[/quote]Hello everybody!
Do we have a solution for this already? It seems we are facing the same issues here with Excel Online and I have not found the reason for the issue or the solution yet.
Thanks!
I was just about to post the same question as it hasn't been working correctly on my end since the Wave 2 update. Multiple browsers, multiple users, same issue.
Everything looks like it's working and the job shows successful in our system jobs but nothing is actually saved/updated.
We've been using the UI since it was first introduced without an issue until the wave 2 update recently. Was hoping a fix would kick in but nothing yet.
Hi Gerrit,
Did you confirm the "Successful" in [Settings]-[Syste Jobs]?
If your customer only change the text field, it should be applied.
Please try to export the worksheet in Excel instead.

If the issue seems to be reproducible, please consider raising a ticket with Microsoft so that they can help with a more thorough investigation.
Thanks but this was the older post that I was referring too above which was created in Mar 2019 - pre general deployment of the new UI. The problem doesn't occur if we switch to the old interface - only the new UI seems to have the problem. Is there an online list of D365 known issues somewhere? Google wasn't much help with respect to producing a centralized list of bugs.
Excel online import not working is a common issue.
