SSRS Report Error

We have been using VS 2015 with report authoring extension to make SSRS reports for CRM online. But after the depreciation of the regional discovery service we have been getting this error "FCB 'EnableRegionalDisco' is disabled". Does anyone have a solution for this?

Hi Ahmad Zaidan, I hope you are doing good.

Try doing the following:

Go to the folder where the plug-in registration tool is located to find the PluginRegistration .exe.config, in the appSettings node to add a line of the following configuration.

When you open the plug-in registrar application connection, the following prompt pops up, fill in the address of your system and you'll be able to get into the list.

21v Instance remembers to select your country when you log in, and if your drop-down box doesn't have your country option go to Nuget up and down the latest version of the tool.

Thank you for your reply, unfortunately, your reply doesn't quite answer my question. My plugin registration tool is working fine, my problem is the connecter inside the ssrs report that connects the report to the data source

Exactly similar issue here with Visual Studio 2015 + SSDT + BIDS V9.

I also see the error indicating "FCB 'EnableRegionalDisco' is disabled" at the bottom of the log. I believe this should be related to deprecation of regional discovery service but not sure where do we set the discovery service in the Reporting tool.

Looking for an answer, hopefully.

I uninstalled old version of BIDS v8 and installed a new version BIDS v9.

Now I cannot find MSCRMFETCH extension in Data source wizard

Should I install something else?

Also having the same error. Have a ticket open with MS and just actually posted this same request a few minutes ago. Will be monitory all threads related. 6 days to doomsday otherwise ;)

Please raise Microsoft support ticket on CRM instance which instance facing this type of issue.

they have to solve this issue asap.

I did, and it turns out I had the wrong version of the Report Authoring Extension. Not sure why they keep the older versions "out there" to still be downloaded. If you search for just "Report Authoring Extension" you get the older version, but if you add "9.0" to it, you get this one: www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx which has been updated to working with Global Discovery Service.

I was able to solve my problem by installing the report authoring extension on VS 2019, I was having a problem installing it before but I found the solution.In order to install it, you to install all these prerequisites.
