Account structures for the limited number of legal entities

Hello experts,

In one of our environments, we have 4 different Legal Entities.

We have a few Main Accounts which are applicable to 2 Legal Entities only and some accounts which are applicable to 3 Legal Entities

I am trying to configure an Account Structure for these Main Accounts and was wondering if I should use Advanced Rules for configuring the Account Structures?

Thank you in advance for your help

    Hi @Andre,

Since the person mentioned that only few main accounts are there which needs to be for specific legal entities, so I suggested to use main account legal entity overrides.

Definitely if lot of main accounts are different and to be managed legal entities wise... Creating different COA would be helpful.

    Regards,
    Neeraj

    Hi,

Depending on the number of main accounts, number of changes expected, and restrictions per legal entity, it can be easier to setup different chart of accounts instead of using the account structures or legal entity overrides.

    Hi

You should use legal entity overrides option on Main accounts. This way you can mark suspended for those legal entities where the main account is not required to showcase.

    Hi,

Depends what you want to achieve. There is a good explanation what you can do with the advanced rules here:

I would advise to create chart of accounts per country, it makes things overall easier. If your legal entities are all in the same country, then create the maximum necessary accounts and restrict combinations with the advanced rules.

    Kind regards, Adis
