Committed Detail Inquiry Taking forever to load Data

Hi All, I am experiencing a strange issue. When attempting to view Committed details for Purchases

ENQUIRY - PURCHASING - COMMITTED DETAIL

 OR

ENQUIRY - PURCHASING - BUDGET VS ACTUAL & COMMITTED

The system freezes. The window just loads and freezes and users can't do anything else.

I fired up the SDT and SQL Server Profiler. I see the system is calling   zDP_CPO10110N_1 stored procedure and navigating through Purchase Orders one by one.

I appreciate your further insight on this problem.

    It may help you.  You are suggested to take a backup of the database before doing this.  To know the effects of removing data, you can try that in your test environment.  Instead of removing data, can you try archiving old data which you can refer in the future?  There are 3rd party products available for archiving data.

    My another question to you is how about standard POP inquiry behaving with 250909 PO?   By this you can narrow down where the exact issue is.

    It's happening for all the users I tested the problem as Sa. Surprisingly there are around 250909 purchase order details in the CP table.What would be the effect of removing completed purchase orders in gp.Wouldnt that help?

    Nursh, Is this happening for all the users?  Did you try accessing with sa user in the same window?  Is this happening in all user workstations or a particular workstation?

    Thank you for your response Arunprasath. We have a standard GP deployment.There are no customisations.

    Nursh, zDP_CPO10110N_1 is a system generated stored procedure for data retrieval of the table CPO10110.  Do you have any customization in place?
