Tablet App - SQL Server Error displaying Activities

Hi

When using the tablet app (this occurs on both iPad and W8) if displaying a record the open activities section shows the message "SQL Server Error - A SQL Server error occurred".  This is CRM Online spring release.

This occurs even if there are no related activities.  If there are activities I can access them from the related records tile without a problem.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps without success.  Any assistance appreciated.

Regards

Peter

You might try turning on tracing to see if you can get additional detail on the error.

    Hi Jason

Thanks for the suggestion - I do indeed see the error in the log:

CONSOLE6002 : Dynamics CRM [PAL] | Error Messages:

    1: Generic SQL error.

    2: Generic SQL error.

3: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Microsoft Dynamics CRM has experienced an error. Reference number for administrators or support: #3B907C76

I can't seem to find help for that error reference anywhere - can you suggest how I may attempt to resolve?

    Thanks

    Peter

Being that you are Online doesn't help as you can't get at the CRM logs, I was hoping the trace would return something more to go on. You might want to open a support ticket

Did you get any luck with support on this? I have a similar issue on the following two views - open activities and My Active Accounts.

If I select all activities then no issues or all accounts no issues. So really stuck with what could be causing the problem.

    Hi Steven

    No resolution yet.

I do not hold out much hope with MS support who are all but useless.  They have been trying to fix the fact that I cannot install the spring updates to my online instance for over a week and seem to have run out of ideas on that so very unlikely they can fix this.

Will let you know if that miracle occurs!

    Regards

    Peter
