Hello everyone,
I read on this forum that the field stageid will be deprecated soon and shouldn't be used in workflows. The consulting Company, that my company hired, has used the field Stageid as trigger and filter in a workflow. The workflow seems to work well. Currently our CRM Version is 8.2.
I would like to know the risks for the future update of Microsoft Dynamics CRM?

Thanks a lot for your quick answer. So there are not negligible risks that the worklow, which was made by the consulting company, will not work in the future (even if it is working now)?

Not sure of the exact date of release version but ti will be as per MS statement :
"This change also introduces an important consideration when using BPFs. With this change, the ProcessId, StageId, and TraversedPath fields can no longer reliably be used to determine which process is running on a record or as triggers to workflows or other automated tracking. This is because there are other ways to create or update business process instances that may not rely on these fields. These field will be deprecated in some future release of Dynamics. The recommended way is to use the new BPF entities for actions like create, update, delete and retrieve."
The only thing i can say is --- "Sooner the better" :)
