Problem with bank reconciliation process

When we try to register a bank reconciliation that was done manually, the system reports:

Statement Ending Balance should not equal Total Balance

But as far as we understand it, with the balance being finalized, the ending balance and the total balance SHOULD be the same.

Can anyone figure out where are we making a mistake?

did you run a post test report of this bank rec? it will show if there is truly any difference
