Restricting Many To Many Disassociate permissions

Hi All,

I want to restrict user from disassociating child record from parent record, can it be done using OOB Security roles? For example there are two Entities A & B both are related as Many To Many. When user open Entity A record where user can see Entity B subgrid records, user should have permission to associate but not disassociate Entity B records. Can we manage this using OOB Security roles or custom plug-in is the way to handle this logic? I tried Append, Append To permissions but it affects both associate/disassociate

Thanks,

Shaik

RE: Restricting Many To Many Disassociate permissions

    Hi Shaik,

there is no separate permission for that..

you might try to emulate through a custom N:N (give "create" permission on the intersect entity, but don't give "delete" or "update").

If you need out of the box to keep working, you might replace it with the custom N:N on the form and have a plugin to synchronize the changes between custom and out-of-the-box N:N-s

Or you might add a plugin, but that will work a little differently since you'll have to display an error (rather than to just make those records readonly through security)
