Asset Leasing: One lease with multiple assets associated

Good morning!

Is there a way in Asset Leasing to have one lease assigned to multiple assets. For example: I am leasing 25 forklifts from a vendor who provides one lease. I need to assign this lease to 25 assets with different financial dimensions. I may or may not need to use the fixed asset module, and the assets could have different values that are rolling up to one lease amount.

There is no such OOB function.

You could try using ledger cost allocation functionality to distribute the expense on multiple assets.

Hi CCollum,

Multiple asset selection is not possible to do in one single lease.

You can create equal number of leases by selecting each asset separately in every lease, specifying the fair value of that asset. And then run the initial recognition and other schedules accordingly.

if you select asset number in the lease, then depreciation schedule you have to run in the Fixed asset module itself.

Thank you for the responses. These were all the answers I gave the client as well, was hoping there was a better option (I have had other clients curious about this as well since some leases combine assets).
