What's the difference between Dyn 365 for operations and Dyn 365 for retail?

Hi,

To me this is a bit confusing, so therefore I am asking the experts here to help me sort things out regarding the difference between Dyn 365 for operations and dyn 365 for retail?

Is Retail included in dyn 365 for operations?

Why is there a separate Product called dyn 365 for retail?

Other things I should know?

Thanks!

OK, Is that why if we enable the 'Dynamics 365 for Retail' configuration key under the 'Retail' config group, the other moduls dissappear, and only the Retail module will be available? The 'standalone app' means one config key enable in Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations EE, isn't it?

    Hi,

As others mentioned, Retail was part of Dynamics 365 for operations(now its Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations) but from the July update Dynamics 365 for retail was provided as a new offering or standalone app. Currently most of the functionality may appear in both the products Dynamics 365 for Retail and Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations(retail module).

    Hello,

Earlier, a part of Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail is now separated as its own application as part of the Dynamics 365 product portfolio.
