I have developed an Dynamics 365 application that user Team Member licences only.  The app has 9 custom entities and uses no entities from the dynamics apps (like Sales, PSA, etc.) so comes under the limit of 15 custom entities when using Team Member licenses.  My customers already have office 365 online.

My question is what is the minimum licences I require to be compliant with Dynamics License Agreement?

Can I just buy 5 Team Member licenses and have a valid dynamics subscription? I know licences are dependent on geography, account, etc but lets just go with some approx figures.

$8 per user per month = $96 per user per year.  time 5 user = $480 (plus tax)

Is is possible to only pay approx $480 for the year, or are there some costs/minimum licencing that I am missing?

    is this still valid 1 full license for Customer engagement, right? Is Dynamics 365 Sales Professional treated as full license?

    Thanks Guido Preite, this is the correct answer.  When you buy 1 full license, you get a Production plus Sandbox instance.  Then you can buy as many or as little Team Member licenses as you require.

    afaik you need at least one user with a full license and the others can be team members.

    However if you want to buy team members than you need Dynamics 365 CE (at least 1 user also if yo don't use the functionalities)

    Otherwise you can check the PowerApps pricing (P1 and P2)

    the model driven apps are practically the forms created with Dynamics 365, so if you create canvas apps for your custom entities you can use the P1 license, however you will probably still need one P2 license

    I do not want the "Customer Engagement Plan".  I am not using the Customer Engagement functionality.

    I think you are taking your assumtion from the following section in the licensing guide

    "Minimum License Purchase Requirements

    To activate a subscription, customers enrolling in Dynamics 365 must purchase a minimum quantity of full

    user licenses where required"

    The guide then goes on to talk about the minimum required for "Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Plan -10 Enterprise user licenses minimum" and "Dynamics 365 Unified Operations - 5 seat minimum".

    "where required" I do not require "Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Plan" or "Dynamics 365 Unified Operations" functionality.  These licenses are superfluous to my needs.  I just want to use Dynamics 365 platforrm not Dynamics 365 Applications, in conjunction with Team Member licenses.

    Frome the Microsoft Online Licensing page https://dynamics.microsoft.com/en-ie/pricing/ there is an "Applications and offers" section which says "Start with what you need and upgrade to plans as your business grows."  This is the option I want but would like to know the mimimun costs and can expand in the future as required.

    Anyone else want to give their toughts?

    Hi

    Minimum  10 licences for engagement plan and 20 licences for each apps.

    In that minimum of 5 Admin licenses are required.
