Coverage codes (with the exception of Manual, which causes MRP to not calculate for these item) use the values in the “Minimum” field of the “Item coverage” form to determine safety stock. Then why we have separate coverage code for Min Max. Usually a item demand is coming from a Sales order or derived from dependent demand from a production order, business buy pretty much to the demand , in some cases for long lead items or items that are always in short supplies we keep a Min balance to keep production running . i can keep a MIN or MAX on Coverage group Period or Requirement. What special in Min/Max code has to offer here. Am i missing something?
