How to show Sales Order No( from which RO created ) in return Order Header/View

I need to show SO no in Return Order Header/View Part.

In Return Order >> Line Details>>Return Lot ID tool tip shows SO No but how to make it visible in Form via a field.

Hi Safeer PS,

In product tab, you will find the return order number. same field you can add in header view.

Field Name: SalesLine.InventRefId

In Sales Line table ItemRefID not filled or no data entered so far.

Hi Safeer PS,

definitely it will so that return order number. Please do post one more order to check the ItemRefID. In one of my system showing this number. please check again.

I can get the SO number form InventransIDReturn .

if transid == inventtransIDReturn then SO No= SO no from which Return Order Created.

But how to create a field in Form with a method which return this value

I need Orginal Sales Order Field in Sales and Marketing>>returnOrder>>Header View.

With above mentioned code as method.

Pls See screenshot.

Hi Safeer PS,

Both areas of Sales orders are same almost, But functionality wise some differences are there.

If you want that Order number by method, then compare with SalesId, based on SalesId you can get that.

While you work it out this may help in the interim...

Sales and marketing--> common--> Sales orders--> All sales orders filter by order status for returned orders is a way to see the link.

A Return sales order is linked to the original sales order by the Return Lot ID.

To get the Original Sales order from the Return order, copy the Return Lot ID and filter in inventory transactions in Lot ID field to get the original order number.

This return Lot ID is present in RMA --> Line details --> General tab --> Return Lot ID /Returned sales order --> Line details --> Setup tab --> Return Lot ID

To track a Return Sales order from the original order, copy the lot ID of the original sales order and filter in return Lot ID field in inventory transaction form, to get the returned sales order number.
