Ribbon Workbench Solution Deployment

Hi Expert,

One question, when using Ribbon Workbench tool to do some ribbon configuration, first two things I need to do is create a new solution and install Ribbon Workbench.

My question is how to deploy these customization into next environment, i.e. QA, then Pro...? Do I need to export-import the new solution in the QA, Pro... and install Ribbon Workbench solution in QA, Pro?

you don't need Ribbon Workbench in QA or PROD instances, you will carry the ribbon changes with your solution

Hello,

You will only need to add your Entity which you are adding/modifying buttons in your solution.

You don't need Ribbon workbench tool to be installed/moved to higher environment.

Thank you for your response. Now I understand the deployment process.

Another thing, also deal with deployment process, I remember that when the PCF solution deploy to next environment, i.e. QA, Pro, from Dev, need to import PCF solution into QA, Pro first, otherwise import will be failed since the independences missing.

Am I correct?

yes, PCF controls need to be imported before or in the same solution as the components relying on them
