Word Document - QuickParts>Field - Create formula using fields already on the Dataset

Hi.

I am looking to take some existing fields on a Word Layout (Sales Quote) to create a calculated field on the document without having to add additional fields to the report dataset.

The example is to create a new /unit price/ based on the fact that the line amount is discounted.
So taking the 2 fields from the XML Mapping pane (Lines >LineAmount_Line and Lines > Quantity_Line) and dividing them to create a new Unit Price.
The customer is using discount groups and discounting the line amount by a percentage and we wish to convert this back into a unit price on the printed document.

Ive used features in word but get syntax errors and cant work out the correct details. (Insert > Quick Parts > Field > Formula)

I may have missed something within the application to do this - so open to this too.

Thanks in advance

Hi, as far as I know, this can't be done. This is also the difference between RDLC and Word.
But you can try the following method, it didn't work the last time I tested it.

Hopefully other experts can give you better advice.
    Thanks.
