Generate Trial Balance using different Chart of Accounts in D365 FO

We are implementing Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations for a client with 1 legal entity. Since multiple chart of accounts can be set up for a legal entity, how can be choose the chart of accounts to be used for generating Trial balance and how can we switch between multiple chart of accounts?
 
Also, to avoid human error, is it possible to block/suspend a chart of accounts through standard functionality?

    For a legal entity, you can only select one chart of accounts to be used. After the first transaction, you can't change the CoA anymore on the Ledger form. If you need to report using another CoA, you can use financial reports with a specific row structure.

    Hi,
    Only one chart of accounts can be assigned to each legal entity. In the configuration of a financial report, you can usually choose which chart of accounts to use. As Andre said, you can think about financial reporting. In standard functionality, D365 FO has no direct functionality to block or pause the chart of accounts.
