Automate IN Batch Release Process

W/out owning the Application Server module, how easy is it to build an exe using Object Model to open the 10.400.00 screen and click the "Begin Processing" button, have have that .exe run on a Schedule (Scheduled Task)?

Any pointers on where to get started? I've been reviewing the old "Programmers Guide to Solomon Object Model", but just need a few pointers on the right way to start.

Thanks.

This is so simple you may just want to look at PTFB Pro.  It is only $40 rather than building an executable.  http://www.ptfbpro.com

Ah, yes....PTFB.  Used it years ago with App Server when the annoying Outlook box popped up....

Doesn't that require the screen to be open first?  I also have to see if any Balanced batches in that screen are checked...

If I still want to go the Object Model route (partly because it would help in building other programs down the road), again how easy, and best approach to starting?

It is not very difficult.  The hardest part is cycling through the grid.

But, if all I am doing is opening the screen and clicking the button, why would I need to cycle thru the grid?

So, when I build a quick little app, I get the following error using StartAppandAutomate:

Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

    Hi,

I developed this screen that release batches on many SL screens, this automates the releasing batches process, if you are interested I can give you a quote.
