Planned Works Orders

HI All,

I am looking for some help please.  I work in a production plant that uses D365 and we're having a bit of an issue with Master Planning.  When I checked planned purchase orders, I am getting lines through for raw materials that I have already ordered.  When I look closer at the requirement profile, I then notice that we're getting planned works orders through for batches that are already firmed up, some with a due date of 17th December.

Does this sound familiar to anybody?  Unfortunately because this is happening, MP isn't accurate.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Lanna

    Hi Lanna,

Would you please specify which application you are using in Dynamics?

    Hi There,

I am using the finance & operations section and using Master planning for firming up works orders.

I've since noticed that it looks like there could be a calculation issue as our customer services have put on a couple of sales orders and batched out the order.  When I run MP to generate a works order based on this, it's telling me that I need to create the primary batch, however it's already been created by our customer services team.

It's almost like MP isn't recognising that there's already a batch created direct from the sales order.

    Thanks

    Lanna
