Where is the GL Budget Exception Report in the security task window?

Hi,

I cannot locate the Budget Exception report that generates when you import a budget and there are issues with the Excel data. I need to grant a user security to that report. The user can import the budget, but not print the exception report.

    Hi Linda,

    The Budget Import Exception Report is available in conjunction with the Excel Based Budgeting product. Here’s how you can create a new security task for this report:

    • Click on Microsoft Dynamics GP| Tools | Setup | System | Security Tasks to open the Security Task Setup Window.
    • Enter an appropriate Task ID and Task Name (for example: Budget Exception Report).
    • Next to Category, choose Other.
    • For Product, choose Excel Based Budgeting.
    • For Type, choose Reports.
    • For Series, choose Financial.
    • Check the box next to ‘Budget Import Exception Report’.
    • Click Save and close the Window.
