Issue in Export and Import in CRM 2011 and 2013

I had one instance in 2011 and that will be expired in this month.So I took the solution back up and now trying to import into crm 2013 instance. While exporting the solutionfrom 2011 it gave the error (i.e some components are missing like Adx_accountaccess (view). but when I tried to fix it did not find the component). So I exported the solution without fixing the missing components. Now getting error while exporting into crm 2013 (error: export failed). Please help

Update your crm and after that you can try.

Updated my CRM to 2013. But its not resolved.

I suspect you did not include some required custom components in your solution when you exported it

so the problem is not related to the version of CRM.

while export I got component missing warning (i.e. article), I tried to fix but not able to. so I excluded and exported. However while importing it is giving import failed. The component missing are belongs to microsoftxrmpartnerportal manged solution. Any idea of "microsoftxrmpartnerportal" manged solution?

The CRM 2011 is updated at the last UR?

Otherwise within solution (2011) try to add necessary components through the namesake button in the solution form (mark a component and click the button, repeat for each components in the solution).

Hello Saidev ,

The error message - 'some components are missing' tells that there are some components missing in this solution that are required toby the solution.

Now while we export this solution, it is not able to locate this files and identifies that this is not there, Probably I think while trying to export this from CRM 2011 Organization, you did export the solution completely.

Adx_accountaccess (view) seems to be a custom component. Is this created with in the CRM using this functionality or created using custom codes.

Did you used the option 'Add required components with in the solution' before exporting this.

Marco is right - Try to select 'Add required components' for each item with in the solution.

I believe you are trying to import this solution into a working CRM 2013 organization and this is giving error you the error.

The issue is resolved now. I identified the missing managed component (microsoftxrmpartnerportal manged solution) and exported that prior exporting the whole solution to new 2013. Thank you all for response
