Unit group with Price list item

Posted on by 2

Hello,

I have one specific requirement in product, unit group and price list item.

Assume there is Product "A". Its base unit is Hour = 1. 2nd unit is Day = 8* Hour. 3rd Unit Week = 40*Hour

I have created one price list and added product "A" as price list item with unit = Hour. and also defined prices as $100.

Now i have added this product "A" in opportunity with appropriate price list. The default unit is Hour flow into opportunity product. If i want to use unit group as Day in opportunity product, would it require to add another price list item in price list with unit = Day or is there any other provision ?

How would i utilize conversion rate of unit groups in price list item and transactions.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Rutul

That is created. I was looking for utilization of unit conversion. But it sound complex to create plugin

Rather then I should use different price list item.

    Anyways thanks for your response.

Yes you are right and have to create new. This is the easiest and u can use excel data import to upload in bulk.

Other methods are custom price pluggin development thats is not recommended.

    Imagine requirement unit 1 hr = $100 and 8 hr = $ 1000. Solution is create 2 pricelist item

So for each unit, I have to create different price list item with price. Am I right ?

Is there any way to make it auto calculated based on unit conversion factor ?

    Thanks
