financial windows in GP 2013

My client's financial windows were not coming up in GP 2013.  When I go into customize this page there is an extra checkbox with nothing next to it.  If I uncheck this box all the windows appear but I cannot get rid of the blank checkbox.

any idea why this is here and how to get rid of it?
