can't assembly orders be generated from service orders ?

    assembly orders from service orders
    To be clear, Assemble-to-Order cannot be used with Service Orders.  Assemble-to-Stock works just fine.  The planning engine will see the demand from the Service Lines and suggest an Assembly Order be created to kit the needed Assembly Item.  If your Reordering Policy is set to "Order" the Assembly will be reserved specifically to the Service Line.  So while it doesn't create the Assembly Order as soon as you generate the Service Line, the system can still recognize the demand and suggest an Assembly Order to fulfil the need.  You then need to complete the Assembly Order prior to posting the Service Line.

    No, it works with other modules, but not services.
