Record Tare and Gross weights at RAF and then Print on Label

Hello All,

I have a situation where our client requires the following at Report as Finished for Batch Orders. Current process is RAF using the Mobile device, for which they print a label for each container decanted. I have setup the Document routing to include all required fields, followed by the Work template for RAF to include printing the label. All works without problem, however.

1. At RAF, they wish to capture the Tare weight of the container.

2. At RAF they wish to capture or have the system calculate Gross weight of the FG + Container.

3. At Label Print, the Nett, Gross and Tare weights to be displayed on the printed label.

The Tare weight field on the Item card is per unit produced, and with the RAF nett quantity being a variable, we cannot fix the Tare weight on the Item card, in addition, the Tare is not hard fixed as it is calculated per UOM of the Item. The dispensed volumes vary and are not constant. The containers are not standardised and vary by Tare.

In addition to the above, there is no functionality to capture Tare and Gross at Report as Finished.

I currently believe this will be a customisation, however If anyone has a possible work around solution, I would appreciate comment.

Lastly, I have suggested a Custom work type within the Work template to record data (Tare and Gross), however these fields are not mapped to Document routing, and as such are not printed on the label.

Release .33 will include custom label layouts and printing, however I am yet to test this new functionality.

Many thanks all.

    Hi Shaun,

I think that's not possible in standard Dynamics 365 SCM, expect that you need a customization.

    Regards,
