Dynamics 365 SLA applicable from creating two processing sessions

Hi there

I have this issue whereby when i create an sla with the applicable from field set to a custom field that gets populated once (we called it logged on), the system generated processes for the sla items get triggered twice, has anyone encountered this and perhaps found a solution.
