Mapping from Contact to Phone Call

Hi,

When I create and complete a Phone call from the contact, I would like the Call To to be autopopulated with contact from which the phone call is created and Call From as the current user. How can I achieve this without Plugin or Javascript? I tried to see if I can change the mapping of Contact to Phone call 1:N relationship but there is no mappings tab. I have 2011 MS CRM online.

Please help.

Isn't this the default behaviour? When you open a Phone Call form (navigating from the Contact record), the Sender field (Call From) is automatically populated with the current user and the Recipient (Call To) is automatically populated with the name of the Contact.

Isn't this what you are looking for?

    Hey Karth,

We yes it is default. But when MS CRM 2011 online is upgraded to 2013, by default the Notes and Activities of main form are not upgraded directly to social pane. So when  you try to create a phone call , the Call To and Call From fields are not auto populated. I am trying to merge the Contact form which is created for the contact entity with social pane with Information form to achieve this. Thank you.

In 2013 which is upgraded from 2011, you will get an option to add activity from top navigation bar of the record. If you click on activities and then click on phone call still the values are populated by default. Ir another way is to switch to the new form from top of contact and then create phone call from social pane. In this case also these two values are automatically populated.
