"Account not found" in GL posting when payroll deduction amount is small

We are experiencing an issue with an employee being paid a small amount causing a specific deduction to equal $0.03.  The payroll processes without error except the GL posting is thrown into batch recovery with a blank GL account on the line item corresponding to this deduction.  If the same employee is paid a larger amount so the deduction is around $1.00 the GL posting works without issue.  I haven't tested yet to find out the threshold where the payroll account distribution breaks.

This is on GP 2015R1 (14.00.0898).  I updated to the latest 14.00.0983 in a test environment but experience the same issue.  Has anyone seen this issue before?

    Hi Mark,

    Have you enter a default account for rounding different on the Posting-Posting accounts.

    Hi Mark,

    I read Babu's answer and I'm wondering, are you using multicurrency? What does it show on your Payroll Posting Register after you post payroll. You can reprint the Check Posting Register in Payroll>Reports>Journals; select Check Posting Register. Does it show an account next to your .03 deduction?

    Thanks Babu.  The rounding difference posting account is not setup but multicurrency is not being used.  The originating currency is the same as the functional currency.

    Thanks for your reply.  The report shows account not found for the one employee/line item.  The payroll posting account is setup and even if it were not there is a catch all setup with ALL-ALL-ALL selected for the department-position-deduction code.
