Individual pricing of products - differing rental prices etc

How would you go about recording individual prices in Dynamics CRM online, so that each sale of a product has its own unique price.

Depends on how "unique" you need.

If you need a standard set of variances, you can use price lists to get your price variants.  you could do this per customer, if you preferred.

If you need completely random prices, you can just allow your sales team to override the list price on a product with a security role.  Then when making an Opportunity/Quote/Order, they can add the price they need.

Thanks for the answer, actually completely unique all the way down to the sales order line item level.  So these ideas are good but don't work in this situation.

To explain a little more, each order has one or more products and each product type has a unique price depending on physical location.

The product is also actually a service that typically has a monthly charge.

Do you have a solution idea for this?

    Thanks,

    Stuart

I'm not sure why overrides on each line item doesn't solve your problem.  you can write any price you want to in there.  Further, if you have prices that are standard by physical location (e.g. Service 1 is always $100 in Washington, and always $80 in Iowa), you could make a price list per location to hold those prices.  If you're looking for a pricing matrix, I recommend looking at North52's rules engine, which could give you essentially infinite granularity in pricing rules.

Of note, CRM isn't a billing system, so this information still needs to go to your financial system for billing and subscriptions.
