We are about to start developing a number of SSRS reports for CRM.
In the SQL world I would create a project in Visual Studio with a shared datasource which all reports would use. Perfect in a DTAP environment. Every environment has this datasource with the same name. The reports only refer to that data source.
In the CRM Online world and CRM Fetch it only seems possible to have an embedded datasource. So the report itself contains the URL and authentication properties. With multiple environment and probably a lot of reports pretty hard to maintain.
What is best practice with that? How do is set up a good project?
