Has anyone used the TimeRangeControl that is in the list of controls when configuring a DateTime field?

I was looking for ways to select start/end times and stumbled across the TimeRangeControl in the list of available controls in Field Properties. 

It displays a rather nifty start/end time with quick-select options... Anyone know if it's actually supported / configurable?
