Report: grouping and filtering in RDLC layouts

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to group the sales lines on an invoice by their job taks. The job task should be a kind of heading with a group sum. All sales lines that are not assigned to a job task should be at the end of the document.

I have already managed to create an extension for the report. In this extension, I create a new data item that contains all the sales lines that appear in the document. I have already shown this on the report. In addition, the group of sales lines on the receipt has been expanded to include a filter to only display lines that are not assigned to a job task.

But I can't get the respective sales lines of the job task to be displayed below. Can I use the existing dataitem of the sales lines twice on the report? I don't want to have the dataitem twice in the report (once in the original report and once in the report extension as a sub dataitem of the job tasks).

I would be very happy about a few tips.

Thank you and best regards
Nico

    Hi,

The only way that works for me in this situation is trial and error.

Remove all grouping on the lines to display all sales lines in the repeater. Start by adding to the tablix grouping until you get the desired outcome. . I would start with Sales Header No. , Customer No. And Job No.  And maybe add page breaks but I doubt the page breaks would be necessary.
