Posted on by 385
Hi:

Can security of a Team Member be reduced any further than it already is?

Thanks!

The Team Member Permissions is restricted by license and permission set.
You can play around with their permission set if you want to reduce the permission. Only assign the permission set that you want to the users.

Hi, I'm not sure about this. Team Member license is a limited license which provides access to a number of functions stated in the official licensing guide.
    • Read anything within Business Central
    • Update existing data and entries in Business Central - existing data are records like customer, vendor or item records which are already created. Entries means entries on which it is specifically allowed from an accounting perspective to update specific information. (e.g. due date on customer ledger entries)
    • Approve or reject tasks in all workflows assigned to a user
    • Create, edit, delete a quote
    • Create, edit, delete personal information
    • Enter a time sheet for Jobs
    • Use Power Apps/Power Automate Use Rights with Dynamics 365 license.

Hi, Not as far as I know.
In contrast, Microsoft has released the following feature.

Info: Access Business Central with your Microsoft 365 license – regardless of whether users have a Business Central license (Collaboration capabilities for Dynamics 365)
Business Central 2022 wave 2 (BC21) new features: Access Business Central with your Microsoft 365 license (Detail Test)

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi
I am not very clear about it, but I suggest that you can post your question in the Viva Engage group, there I see some specific questions and answers that have served to clarify the doubt.
I hope it can be useful
